The High Ground of Texas Welcomes San Angelo Development
The High Ground of Texas Welcomes San Angelo Development Corporation as new Gold Member
The High Ground of Texas, a regional economic development organization, is pleased to welcome the San Angelo
Development Corporation into their membership. The SADC Board of Directors met on October 28, 2009 and
voted unanimously to join the regional marketing coalition as a Gold Member. Gold Member status includes all
of the benefits of membership including representation on the High Ground Board of Directors.
The San Angelo Development Corporation is a non-profit economic development corporation formed under the
Texas Development Corporation Act of 1979. The SADC focuses its efforts on the promotion and development of
business enterprises that create or retain primary jobs. San Angelos economic base includes companies such as
Multi-Chem Group LLC, Hirschfeld Industries LP, Gandy Ink and Aermotor Windmill Company, Inc. The
Corporation acts as the economic development arm of the City of San Angelo and therefore strives to develop
strategies and policies which align with the vision established by the San Angelo City Council.
San Angelo will serve as an anchor community in the southern portion of the High Ground marketing region.

participation", says Dave Quinn, 2008-2009 Chairman of the High Ground of Texas. Mr. Quinn also serves as
the Director of Economic Development for the Levelland Economic Development Corporation.
The High Ground of Texas is a marketing organization formed in 1989, which consists of economic development
corporations, cities, counties, chambers of commerce, industry associations, utilities, institutions of higher
education, and workforce groups. More than one hundred members and regional allies participate in regional
marketing initiatives, educational programs, business improvement strategies, legislative monitoring and
networking opportunities each year. The High Ground of Texas is also supported by numerous private industry
partners who help to underwrite major marketing events. The mission of The High Ground of Texas is to
successfully promote the economic expansion and diversification of communities in the High Ground region of
West Texas. The High Ground of Texas recently celebrated their 20th Anniversary with a year of special initiatives.
